Ulster Cup (cricket)
The Ulster Cup was a knock-out cricket competition in Ireland run jointly by the Northern Cricket Union and the North West Cricket Union. The top eight teams in the previous season's NCU Premier League and North West Senior League 1 were eligible to take part. Matches are of 40 overs duration, but may be reduced to ten overs where delays or interruptions necessitate. Waringstown are the current holders after they won the trophy for the first time beating Bready in the 2017 final Brigade and Instonians are the most successful clubs in the competition with 4 wins each The competition was discontinued after the 2017 season, and from 2021 the Ulster Cup will be played for between the winners of the NCU and NWCU T20 Cup competitions. The Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the Bulters Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup is a 50-over cricket competition for Irish amateur clubs. It is the most important knock-out cricket club competition in Ireland, is organised by Cricket Ireland and comprises the top teams from each of Ireland's four active provincial unions (Leinster, Munster, NCU and North West). Connacht Cricket Union, the youngest, smallest and weakest provincial union, do not enter teams in their own right, but County Galway CC enters as a member club in Munster. Sponsorship It was sponsored initially by Schweppes and then Royal Liver, RSA, Clear Currency and the current sponsor is Butlers. Bready Cricket Club is a cricket club located in the village of Magheramason, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, playing in North West Senior League 1. The club are the current holders of the North West Senior Cup. Previously a successful intermediate club, the club achieved senior status in 1974. Waringstown Cricket Club is a cricket club in Waringstown, County Down, Northern Ireland, playing in the NCU Premier League. The club was formed in 1851 by Captain Thomas Waring and the Henning brothers, John and George, presumably from the linen factory of John Henning & Co. in the Waringstown village. Andrew White (cricketer, Born 1980)
Andrew Roland White (born 3 July 1980) is a former Irish cricketer. He played in the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies, where Ireland reached the Super 8 stage. He is now a P.E. teacher in Grosvenor Grammar school. Andrew is currently the Free Kicks coach at Ards Football Club. Playing career He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. He played for Northamptonshire, and with Ireland. He also lined up for the Irish Under-19s squad between 1999 and 2000. White played in the ICC Trophy in 2001 and 2005 for Ireland, during the latter tournament, helping the Irish team to the final. Since 2006, he has played Twenty20 cricket with Northamptonshire. Regan West
Regan West (born 27 April 1979) is a New Zealand-born former Irish international cricketer. He played for Central Districts and Wellington in the State Championship in New Zealand. He bowled left-arm, either fast-medium or slow left arm orthodox, batted left-handed. Despite being born in New Zealand, West qualified to play for Ireland in late 2008 and made his first appearance for the team the same year. In 2011, West, at the age of 31, announced his retirement due to an injury to his left shoulder; his last match for Ireland was in August 2009.
