"Upside Down" is a song by South Korean singer Kang Daniel. It was released on May 24, 2022 by Konnect Entertainment and distributed by Sony Music Korea. The song serves as the lead single from his debut studio album '' The Story''. A Japanese version of the song was included on Kang's Japanese debut EP titled ''Joy Ride'' which was released on October 5, 2022 through Warner Music Japan. Kang Daniel (; commonly stylized as KANGDANIEL; born Kang Eui-geon []; December 10, 1996) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor, and businessman who rose to fame in early 2017 as the first-place winner of the Produce 101 Season 2, second season of reality competition series '' Produce 101''. He is a former member of the show's resulting boy group Wanna One and is currently active as a solo artist. Following the end of Wanna One's activities as a group, Kang took a six-month hiatus from the entertainment industry and took over management of his career. The Circle Digital Chart, previously known as the Gaon Digital Chart, is the music industry standard record chart ranking the 200 most popular singles in South Korea. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms.
