''Untitled'' (referred to in Spotify as Split LP') is a split EP by British rock bands Thought Forms and Esben and the Witch (band), Esben and the Witch, which was released on 7 April 2014 through Invada Records. It was also released as a digital download and on 12" silver vinyl, limited to 500 copies. The EP contains four songs by Thought Forms and two songs by Esben and the Witch, and the songs "Sound of Violence" by Thought Forms and "No Dog" by Esben and the Witch were uploaded to SoundCloud. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Dream Pop
Dream pop (also typeset as dreampop) is a subgenre of alternative rock and neo-psychedelia that emphasizes atmosphere and sonic texture as much as pop melody. Common characteristics include breathy vocals, dense productions, and effects such as reverb, echo, tremolo, and chorus. It often overlaps with the related genre of shoegaze, and the two genre terms have at times been used interchangeably. The genre came into prominence in the 1980s through the work of groups such as Cocteau Twins and A.R. Kane. Noise rock (sometimes called noise punk) is a noise-oriented style of experimental rock that spun off from punk rock in the 1980s. Drawing on movements such as minimalism, industrial music, and New York hardcore, artists indulge in extreme levels of distortion through the use of electric guitars and, less frequently, electronic instrumentation, either to provide percussive sounds or to contribute to the overall arrangement. ''Wash the Sins Not Only the Face'' is the second studio album by British rock band Esben and the Witch released on 21 January 2013. A deluxe version of the album was also released, which features the LP and CD version of the album and a bonus 7". The lyrics seem to be a semi-concept album as it is meant to be a journey with each song representing different parts of that journey. The album was first announced in October along with promotional single " Deathwaltz", which was released because they felt this was a good bridge between their first album to their second. The album was received well by critics, NME said "Call it highbrow, call it highfalutin, but with ''Wash The Sins…'', Esben are carving hulking tablets of stone boasting that intellect is nothing to be scared of. ''A New Nature'' is the third studio album by British alternative rock band Esben and the Witch, released on 1 September 2014 through their own label Nostromo Records. Background In early 2014, the band left Matador Records and made their own label Nostromo Records. They pledged on PledgeMusic, which is an online Direct-to-Fan music platform that facilitates musicians reaching out to their fanbase to pre-sell, market, and distribute music projects including recordings, music videos, and concerts. On PledgeMusic they put pre-orders for their third album up, in which some include a hand-made bonus EP called ''And New Life Blossoms From the Ruins'', and the money went towards the recording costs.
