University Of South-Eastern Norway
The University of South-Eastern Norway (), commonly known as USN, is a Norwegian state university. It has campuses in Bø, Telemark, Bø in Telemark, Porsgrunn, Notodden, Rauland, Drammen, Hønefoss, Kongsberg and Horten. USN is a continuation of the three former university college (Scandinavia), university colleges, Telemark University College, Buskerud University College and Vestfold University College, which merged between 2014 and 2016 to form the University College of South-Eastern Norway. The institution was granted the status of a full university by the King-in-Council on 4 May 2018. USN has 88 Undergraduate degree, undergraduate programs, 44 Master's degree, master's programs and 8 Doctor of Philosophy, PhD programs. Nicolai Houm
Nicolai Houm (born 25 August 1974) is a Norwegian novelist. He is a grandson of literary critic Philip Houm, and grew up at Jar except for some years in the United States. He studied at the writers' course at Telemark University College, and later lived at Grønland, Oslo before buying a small farm in Sylling. He made his novel debut with ''Knekk nakken min venn'' in 2004, and followed with the short story collection ''Alle barn er laget av ild'' in 2009 and the children's book ''Når alle sover'' in 2011. In 2013 he released ''De håpefulle'', an ambitious 700-page family saga which was compared by Norwegian critics to '' The Corrections''. Halvor Kleppen
Halvor Kleppen (born 3 September 1947 in Bø, Telemark) is a Norwegian media personality, theme park owner and writer. He was hired in Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation radio in 1973, and worked in the entertainment department. In the summer of 1982 he presented the show ''Sumarteltet'', where he toured with a circus and made an entertainment show from that. In 1982 he was awarded the '' Se og Hør'' readers' TV personality of the year award. He left the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation later that year to become a freelancer. He later hosted the show ''Starshot'' on TVNorge, where celebrities were invited to try skeet shooting. He also co-owns Bø Sommarland, a waterpark in Bø i Telemark. He has also hosted a TVNorge summer show from here, ''Sommer i Sommarland''. He has written several books, mostly about local history or skiing. In 2007 he took a master's degree at Telemark University College.

Eli Blakstad (born 10 August 1962) is a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. She finished her secondary education in 1981, and graduated from Jønsberg Agricultural School in 1982 and Telemark University College in 1985. She was hired as an accountant in Sør-Fron in 1985, and has been a farmer since 1990. From 2001 to 2011 she was the chief executive officer of Peer Gynt AS. She was a board member of Norges Bygdeungdomslag from 1983 to 1984, and the first female leader of the organization from 1986 to 1988. During her leadership she was also a board member of the Norwegian Agrarian Association. Sigve Brekke (born 15 December 1959) is the former President and CEO of Telenor Group. In January 2025, Thai conglomerate CP Group announced Brekke's appointment to oversee its telecommunications and digital businesses.
