Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer y Albás (born Jose María Mariano Escribá Albás; 9 January 1902 – 26 June 1975) was a Catholic Church in Spain, Spanish Catholic priest who founded Opus Dei, an organization of Catholic Laity, laypeople and Priesthood (Catholic Church), priests dedicated to the principle of everyday holiness. Fernando Ocáriz Braña (born 27 October 1944) is a priest of the Catholic Church who has been the prelate of Opus Dei since 2017.
