Unforgettable (Godsmack Song)
"Unforgettable" is a song by American rock band Godsmack. It was the fourth single off of their seventh studio album ''When Legends Rise''. Writing According to Sully Erna, "Unforgettable" was the last song written for the album and it took the band less than three days to write and to come up with the melody, stating "It was one of those moments where this really big riff came into my head, and I'm thinking, 'is this something we already do, or is this something new just knocking on my brain?' I worked it out, and the melodies and everything just came very quickly." Recording During the recording process of "Unforgettable", Godsmack recruited 20 students from Gilbert H. Hood and West Running Brook middle schools in Derry, New Hampshire to provide vocals on the song's chorus. Godsmack is an American Rock music, rock band from Lawrence, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. The band is currently composed of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Sully Erna and bassist Robbie Merrill. Mainstream Rock is a music chart published by '' Billboard'' magazine that ranks the most-played songs on mainstream rock radio stations in the United States. BankNH Pavilion (originally known as Meadowbrook Farm) is an outdoor amphitheatre located near Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, New Hampshire, United States. Opening in 1996, the venue seats nearly 9,000 guests. It seats 5,997 under a covered pavilion, 540 reserved lawn seats and 2,850 general admission lawn seats. History The land was originally owned by the Miller family, which used the property for summer vacations, weekend excursions, and general family entertainment. Gilford is a town in Belknap County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 7,699 at the 2020 census, up from 7,126 at the 2010 census. Situated on Lake Winnipesaukee, Gilford is home to Governors Island, Ellacoya State Beach, Belknap Mountain State Forest, Gunstock Mountain Resort, and the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, a seasonal outdoor concert venue. Welcome to Rockville is a four-day hard rock and heavy metal music festival. The festival is held annually at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. History The inaugural Welcome to Rockville was held on Mother's Day, May 8, 2011, at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Florida. Headlined by Godsmack and hosted by Mistress Juliya, the festival ran from 11 AM to 10 PM due to local noise ordinances. A second festival was held on Sunday, April 29, 2012, which featured Jacksonville natives Shinedown headlining the festival along with Korn.
