Under The Sign Of Hell
''Under the Sign of Hell'' is the third studio album by Norwegian black metal band Gorgoroth. Recorded in 1996 and released in 1997, it was the first album to feature Ares on bass (on one track) and the only one to feature Grim on drums. Release ''Under the Sign of Hell'' was released on 20 October 1997 on Malicious Records. It was re-released in 1999 on Century Black, and again in 2005 on Season of Mist. Agonia Records released the album on LP in 2005, limited to 1000 copies, and Back on Black Records reissued the LP again in 2006. A remastered version was released in 2007 by Regain Records. Gorgoroth re-recorded the album as ''Under the Sign of Hell 2011'', released in November 2011 by Regain Records. This re-recorded version was the last album with vocalist Pest. Gorgoroth is a Norwegian black metal band based in Bergen. It was formed in 1992 by guitarist Infernus, who is the sole original member remaining, and has released nine studio albums. Gorgoroth are a Satanism, Satanic band and have drawn controversy due to some of their concerts, which have featured impaled sheep heads and mock crucifixions. The band is named after the dead plateau of darkness in the land of Mordor from J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy novel ''The Lord of the Rings''. Gramophone Record

Eirik Hundvin (born 8 February 1950), also known as Pytten, is a Norwegian producer, musician and recording engineer. He is widely known for producing and collaborating with influential acts in the Norwegian black metal scene, including Mayhem, Burzum, Immortal, Emperor, Satyricon, Enslaved, Gorgoroth, Borknagar and Taake. Hundvin worked out of Grieghallen Lydstudio at the Grieg Hall in Bergen from 1989 to 2013, when it was closed. He has been a member of Tornerose and Blind Date as a bassist. Ronny Hovland, better known as Ares (born 3 June 1973), is a Norwegian metal vocalist, guitarist and bassist, and the founder of the Norwegian death metal band Aeternus. Biography Ares is the founder of the Norwegian dark metal/ death metal band Aeternus, in which he plays guitar and does the vocals. The band was formed in 1993 as a trio, composed of Ares, Erik Vrolok, and Morrigan. From 1995 to 1997, Ares was the bassist of the black metal band Gorgoroth, before Aeternus' debut album, ''Beyond the Wandering Moon'', was released in 1997 on Hammerheart Records. Pest (musician)
Thomas Kronenes (born 16 September 1975), best known by the stage name Pest ( Norwegian for "pestilence" or "plague"), is a Norwegian black metal musician, mainly known for his work in the band Gorgoroth. While a part of Gorgoroth he performed vocals, and also played guitar in the group for a very short time in 1996. Biography Pest was one of the founding members of the Norwegian symphonic black metal band Obtained Enslavement, which was formed in Stord, Norway, in 1989. Obtained Enslavement released two demos in 1992 and 1993 before their first full-length album, ''Centuries of Sorrow'', was released in 1994. In 1995, Pest was approached by Infernus of Gorgoroth with an offer to join the band as their new vocalist, after the previous vocalist Hat had decided to leave the band.
