''Covered: Recorded Live at Capitol Studios'' (simply shortened as ''Covered'') is the seventh album by American musician Robert Glasper. It was released on June 16, 2015, via Blue Note Records. Recording sessions took place at Capitol Studios in Hollywood on the 2 and 3 December 2014. Production was handled by Robert Glasper himself, with Don Was and Nicole Hegeman serving as executive producers. It features song covers of artists like John Legend, Radiohead and Joni Mitchell with a few original tracks mixed in. Harry Belafonte, Iskinder "Skindoo" Adefris-Yaxley, Josiah Xavier Brown, Musiq Soulchild, Ralphie "Hoop" Richardson, Riley Kirkland Glasper and Samuel Josef Brown have provided special guest appearances on the project. ''Covered'' is the sixth studio album by American recording artist Macy Gray, released on March 26, 2012, by 429 Records. As the title suggests, the album features covers of previously released tracks by well known rock, pop, rap, and indie artists. Because of the profanities in some covers, such as " Creep", "Teenagers" and the skit "Really", this is Gray's first album to officially bear a Parental Advisory warning, though a clean version was also issued. In philately, the term cover pertains to the outside of an envelope or Mail, package with an address, typically with postage stamps that have been Cancellation (mail), cancelled and is a term generally used among stamp and postal history collectors. The term does not include the contents of the letter or package, although they may add interest to the item if still present. Cover collecting plays an important role in postal history as many covers bear stamps, postmarks and other markings along with names and addresses all of which help to place a cover at a given time and place in history. Break of Reality (BoR) is an American cello rock band consisting of three cellists and a percussionist. The group is associated with the terms "cinematic rock", " cello rock", and "indie classical". Break of Reality's current members are Patrick Laird, Ivan Trevino, Laura Metcalf, and Adrian Daurov. The band's sound consists of many musical influences, such as rock, classical, and indie rock. History The group was formed while the original members were freshmen at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. At the time of its formation, the band consisted of four cellists. The band gave their first formal concert in a small classical venue at Eastman, where they received complaints for being too loud. Some of the tunes Taylor had been performing off and on in concerts for years, while others were new to his repertoire. It received general positive reviews and two Grammy Award nominations. History The album was recorded over ten snowed-in days in January 2008, in a converted barn in Weston, Massachusetts.
