U Don't Know Me (Basement Jaxx Song)
"U Don't Know Me" is a song written and produced by English electronic music duo Basement Jaxx. The Bellrays' lead singer Lisa Kekaula, who has previously appeared on Basement Jaxx's 2004 single " Good Luck", also co-wrote and contributed the song's main vocal. "U Don't Know Me" was described as a rock song with "kiss-off" lyrics that were similar to "Good Luck". On 13 June 2005 XL released the track as the second single from their greatest hits album '' The Singles''. Later editions of the compilation replaced the album version with the "JaxxHouz Radio edit" which was also featured in the song's video. The song received mixed reviews from critics. Its accompanying music video, directed by Mat Kirkby, features a Queen Elizabeth II look-alike drinking and fighting in Soho, London. Basement Jaxx
Basement Jaxx are an English electronic music duo consisting of Felix Buxton (born 30 April 1970) and Simon Ratcliffe (born 28 November 1969). The pair got their name from the regular club night they held in Brixton, London, UK. Shaun Escoffery is a British soul and R&B singer and actor. His first major release was the single "Space Rider", released by Oyster Music in March 2001. It was played regularly by the BBC Radio 1 DJ Trevor Nelson and the Dreem Teem. It peaked at No. 52 in the UK Singles Chart, and was followed by the UK No. 53 hit "Days Like This" in 2002. Daniel Pearce (born 29 May 1978) is an English singer, songwriter and actor who was a finalist on the ITV reality TV show '' Popstars: The Rivals''. He won a place in the British boy band One True Voice, who subsequently released two top ten singles, " Sacred Trust"/"After You're Gone" and " Shakespeare's (Way With) Words". Pearce, an arranger and co-writer of some of their songs, left the group in summer 2003, shortly before the band split up. Vula Malinga
Vula Malinga (born May 15, 1980) is an American-born British singer. Career Born in the United States to South African parents, she was raised in Hackney, London. Her religious parents supported her singing talents by allowing her to join the church choir, which resulted in her becoming one of the lead singers for the London Community Gospel Choir. This brought her to the notice of Basement Jaxx, with whom she sang lead on their 2005 single " Oh My Gosh".
