UAAP Volleyball Championship
The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) volleyball championships consists of four tournaments, men's and women's in the collegiate division, and boys' and girls' in the high school division. Volleyball is a mandatory sport in the women's division. The University Athletic Association of the Philippines, UAAP volleyball tournament was held in the first semester of the school year until the UAAP Board decided to move it to the second semester in Season 69 (school year 2006–2007). Since the scheduling shift and given its major overall points contribution to the annual UAAP overall championships, UAAP general championship tallies, the championship in volleyball has emerged as one of the most coveted titles that schools aspire for during every season in the league and is one of the most anticipated live TV sporting events in the Philippines. UAAP Season 87
UAAP Season 87 was the 2024–25 season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). It will be hosted by the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP) under the theme "Stronger, Better, Together". The opening ceremony was held on September 7, 2024. Starting this season, a change was introduced regarding the transfer of student athletes from one school to another. Transferees will still be required to sit out for one year before playing for their new school but their five years of eligibility will have to be reduced by two instead of one year. This is also the first season where guest teams are invited, with Claret School of Quezon City and Parents for Education Foundation, PAREF Southridge School signing a Memorandum of Agreement with UAAP to join in the High School Boys' Division which will start on January 18, 2025. UAAP Season 71 Volleyball Tournaments
The seniors' division of the UAAP Season 71 volleyball tournaments opened December 6, 2008. Tournament host will be Far Eastern University. Tournament games will be at the Far Eastern University Gym and The Arena in San Juan. The juniors' division tournaments were held on the first semester of the 2008-09 school year; the UE Pages and the UST Lady Tiger Cubs won all of their elimination round games in their respective divisions to clinch the championship outright. In the men's tournament, the UST Growling Tigers also won all of their elimination round games but went through the usual the Final Four format; they beat Ateneo in three straight sets in the semifinals to formalize their entry to the Finals; they then swept the UP Fighting Maroons 2–0 in the best-of-3 Finals series without losing a set to have an immaculate 17–0 Season 71 record to successfully defend their championship. 2004 UAAP Women's Volleyball
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. UAAP Final Four
The UAAP Final Four refers to the postseasons of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) tournaments. The term "final four" came from the National Collegiate Athletic Association of the United States' men's Division I basketball tournament which is colloquially called as the "final four" in that country. "Final Four" is now a registered trademark exclusive to the American NCAA and no other organizing body within the U.S. can use that name in referring to their tournaments.
