U.S. List Of Most-wanted Iraqis
In April 2003, the United States drew up a list of most-wanted Iraqis, consisting of the 55 members of the deposed Ba'athist Iraqi regime whom they most wanted to capture. Hani Abd Latif Tilfah
Hani ibn Abd Latif ibn Talfah (born 1962) () is an Iraqi security official during the rule of Saddam Hussein. He was born in 1962 in Tikrit. Tilfah was the last director of the Special Security Organization of Iraq from 2002 to 2003. He assisted Qusay Hussein and is a relative of Saddam Hussein. Hamid Raja Shalah
Hamid Raja Shalah (), also known as Hamid Raja-Shalah Hassan al-Tikriti or Hamid Raja-Shalah Hassum al-Tikriti (born 1950) is a former commander of the Iraqi Air Force under Saddam Hussein. Career During Shalah's air force career, he served as a pilot. In the 1980s, during the Iran–Iraq War, Shalah commanded several air bases, including the Kirkuk air base. Tahir Jalil Habbush
Tahir Jalil Habbush al-Tikriti (; born 1950) is a former Iraqi intelligence official who served under the regime of Saddam Hussein. In 2001, he was Iraq's head of intelligence and as such, informed MI6 in January 2003 (shortly before the start of the Iraq War) that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction. He was the "Jack of Diamonds" in the US deck of most-wanted Iraqi playing cards and is still a fugitive with a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to his capture. It is believed that al-Tikriti at some point operated from Syria and most likely played a direct role in the day-to-day operations of the insurgency against U.S.-led Coalition forces under the command of Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri. Rafi ibn Abd al-Latif ibn Talfah (; born in 1954 in Tikrit) is the last head of the Iraqi Directorate of General Security secret police force at the end of President Saddam Hussein's reign. A maternal cousin of Saddam, Rafi went into hiding during the Iraq War, when a United States-led Coalition invaded the country and overthrew Saddam Hussein's government. Republican Guard (Iraq)
The Iraqi Republican Guard () was a branch of the Iraqi military from 1969 to 2003, which existed primarily during the presidency of Saddam Hussein. Initially a praetorian guard unit tasked with the sole purpose to protect the president of Iraq, it grew exponentially during the Iran-Iraq War, transforming into an elite force of the Iraqi Armed Forces. It later became known as the ''Republican Guard Corps'', and then the ''Republican Guard Forces Command'' (''RGFC'') with its expansion into two corps. The Republican Guard was disbanded in 2003 after the invasion of Iraq by a U.S.-led international coalition. The Republican Guard were the elite troops of the Iraqi army directly reporting to Hussein, unlike the paramilitary force Fedayeen Saddam, and the regular Iraqi Army.
