Robin Dunnigan
Robin L. Dunnigan is an American diplomat who has served as the List of ambassadors of the United States to Georgia (country), United States ambassador to Georgia since 2023. Early life and education Dunnigan earned a Master of Science degree with distinction from the National War College. She also received a Master of Science from Georgetown University as well as a Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Berkeley. Career Dunnigan is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, with the rank of Minister-Counselor. She currently serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central and Eastern Europe in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. Ambassadors of the United States are persons nominated by the president to serve as the United States' diplomatic representatives to foreign nations, international organizations, and as ambassadors-at-large. Under Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, their appointment must be confirmed by the United States Senate; while an ambassador may be appointed during a recess, they can serve only until the end of the next session of Congress, unless subsequently confirmed.
