Tõnu Raadik
Tõnu Raadik (born 15 December 1957 in Jõhvi) is an Estonian actor, composer and violinist. In 1980 he graduated from Tallinn State Conservatory's Performing Arts Department, and in 1992 the same institution in composition speciality. From 1980 until 1986, he played at Estonian Puppet Theatre, and from 1986 until 1992, at the Estonian Youth Theatre. Since 1993 he is a freelancer. Besides theatre roles he has played also in several films. He has written chamber, theatre, and film music. He has been a member of music groups, e.g. in Kukerpillid Kukerpillid is an Estonian folk music ensemble established in 1972. Jõhvi
Jõhvi ( ; ; ) is a town in northeastern Estonia, and the administrative seat of Ida-Viru County and Jõhvi Parish. The town is located about 50 km west of the Estonia–Russia international border. History Jõhvi was first mentioned as a village in 1241 in Liber Census Daniae when it was ruled by Denmark. Historical names of Jõhvi were ''Gewi'' and ''Jewe''. In the 13th century a church was built there, and Jõhvi became the centre of the local church parish. On 1 May 1938, the government of Estonia upgraded the official status of Jõhvi from a borough to that of an independent town. During the period of Soviet administration (1944–1991), Jõhvi was administratively not a town, but a district of the city of Kohtla-Järve. Estonian Academy Of Music And Theatre
The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (''Eesti Muusika- ja Teatriakadeemia'') began as a mixed choir of the Estonia Society Musical Department (EMD) on the eve of World War I. The assembly of the Estonia Society created the Tallinn Higher Music School on November 17, 1918. The opening ceremony took place on September 28, 1919. In 1923 the educational institution was renamed the Tallinn Conservatoire. In 1938 the State Drama School was opened. In 1993 the school was renamed the Estonian Academy of Music. In 1995 the Drama Faculty was renamed the Higher Theatre School. Estonian Puppet Theatre
Estonian Theatre for Young Audiences, formerly ''Estonian State Puppet Theatre, Estonian Puppet and Youth Theatre and NUKU'') is an Estonian theatre located in Tallinn. The institution focuses on visual theatre and theatre for the young viewer. It is currently the only professional puppet and visual theatre in Estonia.
