Flashspun Fabric
Flashspun fabric is a nonwoven fabric formed from fine fibrillation of a film by the rapid evaporation of solvent and subsequent bonding during extrusion. A pressurised solution of, for example, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene in a solvent such as fluoroform is heated, pressurised and pumped through a hole into a chamber. When the solution is allowed to expand rapidly through the hole the solvent evaporates to leave a highly oriented non-woven network of filaments. Housewrap
Housewrap (or house wrap), also known by the genericized trademark homewrap (or home wrap), generally denotes a modern synthetic material used to protect buildings. Housewrap functions as a water-resistant layer, preventing rain or snow from getting into the wall assembly while allowing water vapor to pass to the exterior. It is NOT a weather resistant layer, as weather elements include sun, and housewraps can only be exposed for a few months before being damaged, and temperature, and housewraps do not insulate. If moisture from either direction is allowed to build up within stud or cavity walls, mold and rot can set in and fiberglass or cellulose insulation will lose its R-value because of the heat-conducting moisture. House wrap may also serve as an air barrier if it is sealed carefully at seams and supported to resist wind loads. Contern
Contern ( ) is a commune and town in southern Luxembourg. It is located east of Luxembourg City. As of 2024 the commune has a population of 4,513 whereas the town itself, which lies in the south-west of the commune, has a population of 1,876. The main towns are Contern, Moutfort and Oetrange and there are two small villages, Medingen and Milbech. Sandweiler (; ) is a commune and town in southern Luxembourg. It is located east of Luxembourg City. As of 2024, the town of Sandweiler, which lies in the south-west of the commune, has a population of 3721. Other settlements within the commune include Findel and Birelerhaff. The commune is dominated by Luxembourg Airport, Luxembourg's only international airport and the fifth-busiest cargo airport in Europe, which lies to the north and west of the town of Sandweiler.
