Tyrone Van Aswegen
Tyrone Frank van Aswegen (born 6 January 1982) is a South African professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. Van Aswegen was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He played in college at Oklahoma City University from 2000 to 2004, where he was a three-time NAIA All-American, led OCU to four NAIA team championships, and won seven times, including the 2002 individual national title. Van Aswegen turned pro in 2004 after graduation, and began playing on the Sunshine Tour. He won twice on that tour in 2008, and finished a career-best seventh on the Order of Merit in 2009. He tied for 74th at the 2010 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament, which gave him status for 2011 on the Web.com Tour (then known as the Nationwide Tour). Mike Ruiz is a Canadian photographer, director, television personality, former model, spokesperson, creative director, and actor. Early life Ruiz, who is of French Canadian and Spanish Filipino ancestry, was born in Montreal in 1964, but raised in Repentigny, Quebec, Canada. The Long Beach Open was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour. It was held in Long Beach, California at the Virginia Country Club from 1926 to 1930 and at the Lakewood Country Club from 1949 to 1951. In 1957 the Long Beach Open was a PGA Satellite Event. In 1989, a revived Long Beach Open came to the El Dorado and Recreation Park golf courses. Jaco Phillipus van Zyl (born 23 February 1979) is a professional golfer from South Africa. Career Van Zyl was born in Pretoria. He won the South African Amateur in 2000 and turned professional the following year, immediately joining the Sunshine Tour. He won for the first time on the tour at the Platinum Classic in 2005. In 2007, van Zyl played on the PGA Tour, having gained his card at the 2006 qualifying school. He made the 36-hole cut only four times in 21 tournaments during his rookie season and finished 227th on the money list. Jake Roos (born 20 October 1980) is a South African professional golfer. Roos was born in Pretoria. He was the number one ranked South African amateur golfer before turning professional in 2005 and then joined the Sunshine Tour by finishing 4th at Q-school. His first victory came at the 2008 Suncoast Classic. His second victory came the following year at the Nedbank Affinity Cup. The Cape Town Open is a golf tournament on the Sunshine Tour in Cape Town, South Africa. From 2012 to 2016, it was played annually in November at Royal Cape Golf Club. In 2018, it moved to February at the King David Mowbray Golf Club. Rhys Enoch won by one stroke from Peter Karmis. 2012 Sunshine Tour
The 2012 Sunshine Tour was the 13th season of professional golf tournaments since the southern Africa based Sunshine Tour was relaunched in 2000. The Sunshine Tour represents the highest level of competition for male professional golfers in the region. As usual, the tour consisted of two distinct parts, commonly referred to as the "Summer Swing" and the "Winter Swing". Tournaments held during the Summer Swing generally had much higher prize funds, attracted stronger fields and until 2012 were the only tournaments on the tour to carry world ranking points, with some events being co-sanctioned with the European Tour.
