Two Doors Down (Mystery Jets Song)
"Two Doors Down" is the second single from the Mystery Jets album '' Twenty One'' and it features a saxophone solo by Nik Carter (of The Blackjack Horns). The single became their second highest-charting single in the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 24, second to " The Boy Who Ran Away" which charted one place higher at number 23. In October 2011, ''NME'' placed it at number 100 on its list "150 Best Tracks of the Past 15 Years". Reviews ''Musicomh'' gave a positive review saying that "With the help of Erol Alkan they convey this in sweeping, romantic gestures that wouldn't have been out of place in the charts in the 1980s - yet thanks to the producers's intervention sound bang up to date" and went on to say "With a melody that won't be leaving your brain for some time, this is one of the Jets' poppiest offering yet, given a dash of camp attitude to complete a memorable single". Mystery Jets
Mystery Jets are an English indie rock band, formed on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham, London. The founding members still part of the band consist of Blaine Harrison (vocals, guitar and keyboards), Henry Harrison (lyrics), and Kapil Trivedi (drums). History Formation and early demos (2003) The band's first line-up consisted of Blaine Harrison on drums, William Rees on guitar and Henry Harrison (Blaine's father) on bass. Henry became a second guitarist in the band and they were joined by Kai Fish on bass and Tamara Pearce-Higgins on the organ. Kai joined the band after suggestions that they needed a bassist (he played the cello originally). Their original name was The Misery Jets, which was taken from an Evening Standard headline (Eel Pie Island is under the Heathrow flight path, where planes can be frequently spotted). UK Singles Sales Chart
The UK Singles Sales Chart is a weekly record chart compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on behalf of the British record industry. The UK Singles Sales Chart differs from the UK Singles Chart (also known as the Official Singles Chart) in that it counts "physical" sales only (including downloads), whereas the Official Chart also counts streaming. Since 10 July 2015, the chart week has run from Friday to Thursday with the chart-date given as the following Thursday; prior to this, the chart week ran from Sunday to Saturday, with the chart date given as the following Saturday.
