Turn (travis Song)
"Turn" is the fourth single from Scottish rock band Travis's second studio album, '' The Man Who'' (1999). The single peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart and reached number two in Scotland, number 28 in Ireland and number 37 in New Zealand. Music video Two music videos were shot for the single. The first video, included on the group's ''Singles'' DVD, features Fran Healy engaged in a push-up contest. This video was filmed in Hackney on the Nightingale Estate. The estate has since been demolished. British actress Julie Smith as well as British actor Stephen Graham were featured in the video. The second featured a staged performance by the band. B-sides The release of the single was accompanied by a cover of Britney Spears's hit single " ...Baby One More Time". Spears herself heard the Travis version while shopping, and commented by saying it was 'a total shock' and was 'a very good cover'. Travis (band)
Travis are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 1990, and composed of Fran Healy (musician), Fran Healy (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Dougie Payne (bass guitar, backing vocals), Andy Dunlop (lead guitar, banjo, backing vocals), and Neil Primrose (musician), Neil Primrose (drums, percussion). The band's name comes from the character Travis Henderson (played by Harry Dean Stanton) from the film ''Paris, Texas (film), Paris, Texas'' (1984). Robin Hood's Bay
Robin Hood's Bay is a village in North Yorkshire, England. It is south of Whitby and north of Scarborough on the Yorkshire Coast. Nigel Godrich
Nigel Timothy Godrich (born 28 February 1971) is an English record producer, recording engineer and musician. He has worked with acts including Radiohead, Travis, Beck, Air, Paul McCartney, U2, R.E.M., Pavement, Roger Waters, Arcade Fire and Idles. Early in his career, Godrich worked as the house engineer at RAK Studios, London, under the producer John Leckie. He first worked with Radiohead while engineering their second album, '' The Bends'' (1995), at RAK. Radiohead hired him to produce ''OK Computer'' (1997), which was a major success and brought him attention from major artists. He has produced all of Radiohead's albums since, along with several other projects with the Radiohead members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood.
