Tuloy Ang Ligaya
''Tuloy ang Ligaya'' () is the sixth studio album by Filipino rock band Rivermaya. It was released in October 15, 2001 under Viva Records. The album features newly recruited guitarists Mike Elgar and Kakoy Legaspi, as well as bassist Japs Sergio; the three were recruited after founding bassist Nathan Azarcon left the group. Critical reception David Gonzales of allMusic reviewed the album and stating that the album has moments of brilliance but lacked excitement. He praised songs "Gising Na" & "Imposible", but criticized other songs like ""Basketbol" ("Basketball") and "Bagong Liwanag", which he described as being "tedious and dry." Rivermaya is a Filipino alternative rock band. Formed in 1994, it is one of the several bands that spearheaded the 1990s Philippine alternative rock explosion. Rivermaya is currently composed of original members Mark Escueta and Nathan Azarcon. Notable former original members include chief songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Rico Blanco and vocalist Bamboo Mañalac, who later formed the band Bamboo and eventually went on his solo career. Rico Rene Granados Blanco (born March 17, 1973) is a Filipino singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actor, endorser and entrepreneur. ''Live and Acoustic'' is a live album and the ninth overall album of the Filipino rock band, Rivermaya featuring Slapshock. This is a 2-disc album and has 22 tracks (13 audio tracks from Disc 1 and 9 music videos from Disc 2). The album has been released under Viva Records on January 28, 2003. This is the band's first live album filmed and recorded on May 18, 2002 from the "Double Trouble: Akoustik Rampage" concert at the Music Museum, Greenhills, San Juan. Japs Sergio
John Paul "Japs" Ricafranca Sergio (born August 20, 1979) is a Filipino musician and record producer. He is a former bassist, vocalist, guitarist of the Filipino band Rivermaya and the current guitarist/vocalist/frontman for the band Peso Movement. Career Sergio joined the band in April 2001 as a session member when he took over the role of Nathan Azarcon, who left the band in February 2001. When Kakoy Legaspi and Mike Elgar joined in May 2001, Sergio was officially absorbed and the band began recording for "Tuloy ang Ligaya". Nathan Peter Hachero Azarcon (born January 29, 1975) is a Filipino musician, nationalist, songwriter, and producer. He is currently the bassist, vocalist and one of the founding members of Pinoy rock, Filipino rock band Rivermaya. He was also a member of the rock bands Pinikpikan, Kapatid (band), Kapatid and a founding member of Bamboo (Filipino band), Bamboo and Hijo (where he was the lead vocalist).
