Trần Triệt (Vietnamese language, Ancient Vietnamese : 陳婆列 / ''Trần B'liệt'', Vietnamese language, Modern Vietnamese : 陳徹 / ''Trần Triệt''; 1232 – ?), hereditary title Hoài Đức vương (懷德王), was the prince of Trần dynasty. Biography Trần Triệt was born in 1232 at Triệt village, Tây Chân district, Thiên Trường local government (now Nam Chân rural commune, Nam Trực district, Nam Định province). He is illegitimate child of retired emperor Trần Thừa, Trần Thái Tổ and wench Tần. When Triệt grew up, he became a wrestler. Trần Thừa ( Hán tự: 陳 承, 1184–1234) was the head of the Trần clan and a high-ranking mandarin during the reign of Lý Huệ Tông and Lý Chiêu Hoàng. After the overthrow of the Lý dynasty by Trần Thủ Độ, Trần Thừa's second son Trần Cảnh was enthroned as Trần Thái Tông, the first emperor of the Trần dynasty. Being the Emperor's father, Trần Thừa was honoured by the title Retired Emperor and given the temple name Trần Thái Tổ ( 陳 太 祖) after his death. Nam Định () is a city in the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam. It is the capital of Nam Định Province. The city of Nam Định is 90 km south-east of Vietnam's capital, Hanoi. Trần Dynasty
The Trần dynasty, ( Vietnamese: Nhà Trần, chữ Nôm: 茹陳）also known as the House of Trần, was a Vietnamese dynasty that ruled over the Kingdom of Đại Việt from 1225 to 1400. The dynasty was founded when emperor Trần Thái Tông ascended to the throne after his uncle Trần Thủ Độ orchestrated the overthrow of the Lý dynasty. The Trần dynasty defeated two Mongol invasions, most notably during the decisive Battle of Bạch Đằng River in 1288.
