True Panther Sounds
True Panther Sounds (TPS) is a New York City-based independent record label founded by Dean Bein, previously owned by Matador Records and distributed by Beggars Group. The label began in 2004 in San Francisco to release a tour-only 7" by founders Bein and Samuel's band Red Tape Apocalypse. The label eventually moved to New York with Bein and was acquired by Matador Records in 2009. Artists released by the label represent many genres, including notable acts such as ABRA, Celeste, Glasser, Girls, King Krule, Tobias Jesso Jr., Shlohmo, and Slowthai. About True Panther was started in 2004 by Dean Bein, Molly Samuel, and Avi Klein to put out a tour-only 7" by Bein and Samuel's band Red Tape Apocalypse. Matador Records
Matador Records is an independent record label, with a roster of mainly indie rock, but also punk rock, experimental rock, alternative rock, and electronic acts. History Matador was created in 1989 by Chris Lombardi in his New York City apartment. Lombardi had brought the Austrian duo H.P. Zinker into Wharton Tiers’ Fun City studio to record Matador's first release, "...and there was light". Lombardi continued to add artists to the label's roster, with bands like the Dustdevils, Railroad Jerk and Superchunk, before being joined by former Homestead Records manager Gerard Cosloy in 1990. Lombardi and Cosloy have continued to run Matador Records together with Patrick Amory coming on as Matador's label manager in 1994, later becoming label president as well as a partner of Lombardi and Cosloy. Marylou Mayniel (born 23 April 1993), better known by her stage name Oklou (ˈəʊˈkeɪ luː), is a French musician, singer, music producer, DJ, composer, and actress. Early life Marylou Maniel was born on 23 April 1993, in Poitiers, France. Mayniel grew up in the countryside of western France with her two parents and an older brother. Tamaryn Brown is a New Zealand songwriter and singer based in Los Angeles. Since 2008, Tamaryn has released four studio albums, an EP and several singles. Lemonade is an alternative dance band from San Francisco, California, now residing in Brooklyn, New York. The band's music consists of an eccentric amalgam of electronic, world, and rock music influences, ranging from dubstep to caribbean. She released her debut EP, ''Apply'', on May 26, 2009, followed by debut studio album ''Ring'' on September 24, 2010. Her second studio album, ''Interiors'', was released on October 4, 2013.
