Triple J's One Night Stand
One Night Stand is an annual music festival held in various regional Australian towns that is organised and promoted by national youth radio station Triple J. It started in 2004 in Natimuk, Victoria, and ran every year until 2019, with one break in 2015 for the broadcaster's Beat the Drum event. One Night Stand did not run for four years from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but returned to Warrnambool, Victoria in 2024 despite a series of major Australian festivals cancelling due to financial difficulties. In the early years of the One Night Stand, the host town was selected in the form of a competition where residents of the town had to gain approval from their local government as well as find a suitable venue. Natimuk
Natimuk is a town in Western Victoria, Australia. It is located about northwest of Melbourne. A further west of Natimuk is one of Australia's best climbing areas, Mount Arapiles. At the 2016 census, Natimuk had a population of 514, up from 449 in 2006. History The local post office opened as "Natimuk Creek" on 1 July 1874 and was renamed "Natimuk" in 1884. A railway line, built in a number of sections, once connected Horsham and Hamilton, running via Cavendish, Balmoral and East Natimuk until their closures in 1986 and 1988. The Natimuk Court of Petty Sessions closed in 1965, with the former courthouse subsequently being used by the local historical society. Eskimo Joe are an Australian alternative rock band that was formed in 1997 by Stuart MacLeod, on lead guitar, Joel Quartermain, on drums and guitar, and Kavyen Temperley, on bass guitar and vocals, in East Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia. Kid Kenobi
Kid Kenobi or Jesse Thomas Desenberg is an Australian DJ, sound mixer, music journalist and dance music artist. Together with Hook N Sling (a.k.a. Anthony Maniscalco), he was nominated for the 2007 ARIA Award for Best Dance Release for their single, "The Bump". The Living End is an Australian punk rock band from Melbourne, formed in 1994. Katalyst (real name Ashley Anderson) is an Australian DJ and producer. He won awards at the 2002 Australian Dance Music Awards for Best Album and Best Producer. Shihad were a Rock music, rock band formed in Wellington, New Zealand, in 1988. Hilltop Hoods
Hilltop Hoods are an Australian hip hop group that formed in 1994 in Blackwood, Adelaide, South Australia. They are regarded as pioneers of the " larrikin-like" style of Australian hip hop. The group was founded by Suffa (Matthew David Lambert) and Pressure (Daniel Howe Smith), who were joined by DJ Debris (Barry John M.
