Tribe Of Heaven
Tribe of Heaven is a collaboration between Mark Roebuck and Dave Matthews, recorded in 1989. Dave Matthews was a fellow bartender to Mark Roebuck, and assisted Roebuck in writing and recording an entire album. Ten folk rock songs were recorded during the Tribe of Heaven sessions. Of these nine were ultimately released, including five written solely by Roebuck, three by Roebuck and Matthews, and a cover of U2's "In God's Country." The tracks were recorded at the studio in Greg Howard's home in Scottsville, Virginia during two separate sessions in 1989. Howard played keyboards on "Imagine We Were" and "Half the Time," and Mike Rosenski played guitar on "Touch." Mark Roebuck
Mark Roebuck is an American composer and musician living near Charlottesville, Virginia, known primarily for his work as the main songwriter for the 1980s underground power pop group The Deal, and for his later project, Tribe of Heaven. ''Imagine We Were'', recorded with Dave Matthews in 1989-90 and was finally put out as an independent release in 2005. Early career Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States Roebuck moved at age four to Petersburg, Virginia. In his teens, he began writing and recording original music and playing professionally as a folk duo with classmate Eric Schwartz. In 1977 Roebuck and Schwartz both moved to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia. There they met Memphis musician and classmate Haines Fullerton and formed The Deal. They eventually added Hugh Patton and Jim Jones to the lineup and began playing up and down the east coast, while continuing to record demos of their original material. ''Live at Radio City'' is a live album and video by Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds recorded at Radio City Music Hall on April 22, 2007. This was the first release by Matthews and Reynolds since ''Live at Luther College'', released in 1999. Release The concert was released as both a two-disc album on CD and a two-disc video on DVD. A Blu-ray Disc version of the video was scheduled to be released two weeks after the CD and DVD release date, on August 28, 2007, but was postponed until September 4, 2007. ''Remember Two Things'' is an album by the Dave Matthews Band, released independently on the band's Bama Rags label on November 9, 1993. This is the only release that lists the name of the group as "''The'' Dave Matthews Band" although the article was removed in later pressings. It was reissued by RCA Records on June 24, 1997, and was certified platinum by the RIAA in 2002. The album cover art is an autostereogram that, when focused on correctly, shows a person's hand displaying a peace sign.
