Trenton Transit Center
Trenton Transit Center is the main passenger train station in Trenton, New Jersey. Located along the Northeast Corridor, it is served by Amtrak intercity trains plus NJ Transit and SEPTA Regional Rail trains. It is the southern terminus of the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor Line and the northern terminus of the SEPTA Trenton Line. It is also the northern terminus of the NJ Transit River Line service and a terminal for NJ Transit and SEPTA buses. Station design The primary station building is located on South Clinton Avenue on the west side of the tracks, with a smaller building on the east side. The four-track below-grade Northeast Corridor widens to eight tracks at the station: four platform tracks serving two accessible island platforms, two center bypass tracks, and two outside siding tracks. West Trenton Station
West Trenton station is the northern terminus of SEPTA's West Trenton Line. It is located at Grand and Railroad Avenues in the West Trenton section of Ewing Township, New Jersey, however this address only applies to the southbound station house on the west side of the tracks. The northbound station house is on the east side of the tracks and is located on Sullivan Way, which changes into Grand Avenue once it crosses under the tracks. SEPTA's official website gives the address as being in Trenton. The station has off-street parking, and is located in Fare Zone NJ. In FY 2013, West Trenton station had a weekday average of 292 boardings and 361 alightings. History Originally built in 1929 by the Reading Railroad, it was acquired by Conrail and SEPTA in 1976 and used for diesel service to Newark, New Jersey until 1981.
