Travellers (card Game)
Travellers is a card game of the patience or card solitaire genre which uses a single card pack of either 52 or 32 playing cards. It is an interesting game based on "an entirely new principle" which Parlett describes as a "rhythmical feature that might be called 'shuttling'", as in the game of Weavers.Parlett (1979), pp. 185–186. It should not be confused with the twin-pack patience game, also called Travellers. Names According to Parlett, Travellers is also known as All Fours, Clock, Four of a Kind, Hidden Cards, Hunt, Sundial or Watch. ''Traveller'' is a science fiction role-playing game first published in 1977 by Game Designers' Workshop. Marc Miller (game designer), Marc Miller designed ''Traveller'' with help from Frank Chadwick, John Harshman, and Loren Wiseman. Editions were published for ''GURPS'', D20 system, d20, and other role-playing game systems. From its origin and in the currently published systems, the game relied upon six-sided dice for random elements. ''Traveller'' has been featured in a few novels and at least two video games. Wuershan
Wuershan (乌尔善) is a Chinese film director of Mongol descent, who was born in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia on June 10, 1972. Wuershan's first feature film was ''Soap Opera'' (2004), for which he was awarded the FIPRESCI Award at the Pusan International Film Festival. He went on to direct blockbusters '' The Butcher, the Chef and the Swordsman'' (2010), '' Painted Skin: The Resurrection'' (2012), and '' Mojin: The Lost Legend'' (2015), for which he was awarded the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Director at the 33rd Hundred Flowers Awards. Jigen Keisatsu
is a fictional character created by Monkey Punch for his manga series ''Lupin III'', which debuted in ''Weekly Manga Action'' on August 10, 1967. Jigen is the marksman, aide-de-camp and best friend of Arsène Lupin III. Along with colleague Goemon Ishikawa XIII, he joins Lupin in pursuit of riches acquired typically by theft. Traveling across the globe, Jigen has garnered fame as a gunman with wildly capable speed and accuracy. Creation and conception According to Monkey Punch, Jigen was created as a New York raised American gangster based on actor James Coburn, especially his role in ''The Magnificent Seven''. When the series was adapted into animation, the role was portrayed by Kiyoshi Kobayashi, the voice actor responsible for dubbing many of Coburn's roles into Japanese. The character's name comes from Monkey Punch's love for the word "dimension," which translates to "jigen" in Japanese. "Traveller" was recorded for Linde Nijland's album, ''A Musical Journey'', in 2010. The story of the video is based on her lyrics, which portrait a traveller who asks herself questions along the road. Symbolically, the questions are about the meaning of life. The video is intended to convey the astral sense of the song. A 2D computer animation with watercolour paintings were designated for the background, to carry over the softness and pureness of Nijland's voice and music into the video. Plot A stranger walks into a small town's police station during a rainstorm on Christmas Eve. He tells the desk sergeant that he wishes to confess to murder, after which the desk sergeant points a handgun at him and calls for his colleagues to restrain him with handcuffs. The stranger refuses to reveal his name, preferring to be known as "Mr. Nobody." After the stranger provokes them, the officers are about to assault him as detective Alexander Black walks in.
