Transformers (2019 Comic Book)
''Transformers'' is an American comic book series that is mostly written by Brian Ruckley and was initially published twice-monthly by IDW Publishing. Based upon the Transformers franchise by Hasbro and Takara-Tomy, this series is a reboot of the previous comic book series that started with '' The Transformers: Infiltration'' in 2005 and concluded with '' Transformers: Unicron'' in 2018, taking place in a new continuity that is separate from the Hasbro Comic Book Universe. The series debuted on March 13, 2019 and concluded on June 29, 2022 following the announcement of the ''Transformers'' comic book license leaving IDW by the end of the year. Unicron
Unicron is a fictional villain from the ''Transformers'' media franchise. Designed by Floro Dery, he was introduced in the 1986 animated film '' The Transformers: The Movie'' and has since reappeared in '' Transformers: Armada'', '' Transformers: Energon'', '' Transformers: Cybertron'', '' Transformers: Prime'', '' Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising'', '' Transformers: The Last Knight'', '' Transformers: Rise of the Beasts'', and Atari's 2004 ''Transformers'' video game. Hasbro Reconstruction was a 2016 comic book launch by IDW Publishing about its line of American comic books, comic books based on properties of the toy company Hasbro. Since June 2016, this branding converged most of IDW's Hasbro comics into the Hasbro Comic Book Universe, using the end of ''Revolution (IDW Publishing), Revolution'' as its launching pod, which then continued with ''First Strike (IDW Publishing), First Strike''. Micronauts
Micronauts is a North American science fiction toyline manufactured and marketed by Mego from 1976 to 1980. The ''Micronauts'' toyline was based on and licensed from the '' Microman'' toyline created by Japanese-based toy company Takara in 1974. Mego discontinued the ''Micronauts'' line in 1980 prior to the company's bankruptcy and dissolution in 1982. Years after Mego’s demise, other toy companies, such as Palisades Toys and SOTA (State of the Art) Toys, have attempted to revive the toyline. Rom (comics)
Rom the Spaceknight is a superhero who was originally conceived as a toy and then a magazine lead. Rom was created by Scott Dankman, Richard C. Levy, and Bryan L. McCoy for Parker Brothers and is now a Hasbro asset. After the toy was licensed to Marvel Comics, Rom became a character that debuted in the eponymous American comic book ''Rom: Spaceknight'' (December 1979 – February 1986), by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema. Action Man is an action figure launched in Britain in 1966 by Palitoy as a licensed copy of Hasbro's American "movable fighting man", G.I. Joe. Action Man was originally produced and sold in the United Kingdom and Australia by Palitoy Ltd of Coalville, Leicestershire from 1966 until 1984. Simon Furman
Simon Christopher Francis Furman (born 22 March 1961) is a British comic book writer who is best known for his work on Hasbro's ''Transformers'' franchise, starting with writing Marvel Comics's initial comic book to promote the toyline worldwide, as well as foundations for both Dreamwave Production's and IDW Publishing's takes on the '' Generation 1'' minifranchise. Decepticon
The Decepticons are a fictional faction of sentient robots in the ''Transformers'' multimedia franchise. Serving as the main antagonists in the franchise, their goals include conquering their fictional homeworld planet Cybertron, defeating the Autobots, and achieving universal domination.
