Trampoline (Lazlo Bane Song)
"Trampoline" is a song by American alternative rock band Lazlo Bane released on their second studio album '' All the Time in the World''. It was among the songs that the band performed during their live shows in 2007. In March 2021 Lazlo Bane released a video for the new version of "Trampoline" as part of their online video releases. The song was later included on the album ''Someday We'll Be Together''. Samsara version The song was covered by Tim Bright’s led band Samsara for their 2004 album ''Fast Too Slow'' and was recorded with assistance by Chad Fischer. Their version was nominated for the Just Plain Folks 2006 Music Awards in the category Rock Song. Lazlo Bane
Lazlo Bane is an alternative rock band from Santa Monica, California, United States. They are well known for collaborating with former Men at Work member Colin Hay, and providing the song " Superman" as the theme for the television show '' Scrubs''. Background Formation and early years The band's origin can be traced back to the efforts of Chad Fischer touring with School of Fish in the early 1990s as a drummer. After a disagreement and falling out with a producer and School of Fish eventual split, Fischer went solo and began writing and recording his own material without the benefit of professional mixing or mastering. Taking the name Lazlo Bane Chad Fischer initially signed to Los Angeles-based indie label Fish of Death Records, and released debut single "Buttercup" backed with a cover of Men at Work's 1983 hit "Overkill". ''All the Time in the World'' is the second studio album by the band Lazlo Bane. It was self-released through CD Baby more than five years after their debut album, ''11 Transistor''. Background Unlike ''11 Transistor'' with its guitar-heavy stylings, the songs on ''All the Time in the World'' expand the variety of instruments and feature piano, saxophone and strings. While working on the album the band wrote a large number of new songs, much more than were released. Some of them were included on the band's next release, ''Back Sides''. Release and Promotion A promo version of the album was released in 2000. There are a few differences between it and the official CD release in 2002. Promo edition featured the song "I'll Be Happy" as track 11, which was replaced with "Breathe Me In" on the 2002 CD release. Chad Fischer
Chad Fischer is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer from Santa Monica, California, also known as the frontman of the band Lazlo Bane. Early years Chad Fischer's early work was being a drummer for the band School of Fish founded by his college friend Josh Clayton-Felt. Fischer replaced the original drummer M.P. in 1991, however he did not play on the band's second album due to fallout with a producer and was replaced by Josh Freese. Nevertheless, Fischer still stayed with the band to perform live. The only official commercial School of Fish release that included his drumming was the single "Take Me Anywhere", which included two live tracks as b-sides. After School of Fish disbanded in 1994 Chad Fischer went on to build his own recording studio and started to write new material. In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song. It was filmed at the Crash Mansion rock club in New York City.
