Walter Baldwin
Walter Smith Baldwin Jr. (January 2, 1889 − January 27, 1977) was an American character actor whose career spanned five decades and 150 film and television roles, and numerous stage performances. Baldwin was born January 2, 1889, in Lima, Ohio, into a theatrical family: his father Walter S. Baldwin Sr. and mother Pearl Melville (a sister of Rose Melville) were both actors. He joined his parents' stock theatre company, and in 1915 married fellow actress Geraldine Blair. Career He was probably best known for playing the father of the disabled sailor in ''The Best Years of Our Lives'' (1946). Beatrice Gray (March 3, 1911 – November 25, 2009) was an American actress and dancer best known for her appearances in a series of western films during the 1940s and 1950s. Gray was born Bertrice Alice Kimbrough on a farm near Carthage, Illinois. She began working in the entertainment industry in Broadway theatre, Broadway productions, as well as a performer in nightclubs. She earned her first acting role in the musical, ''New Faces of 1935''. After moving to California in 1937, she appeared in the ''New Faces of 1937'' by RKO Pictures. She worked as a dancer for Busby Berkeley. Gray appeared in a number of westerns throughout the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, many of which were produced by Monogram Pictures. Her other films were with Universal Pictures, including the 1958 movie, ''Wild Heritage''. Kirby Grant (November 24, 1911 – October 30, 1985), born Kirby Grant Hoon Jr., was a long-time B movie and television actor, mostly remembered for having played the title role in the Western-themed adventure television series '' Sky King''. Between 1949 and 1954, Grant starred in 10 Mounted-Police adventures, usually in the role of Corporal Rod Webb.
