Tourism In Montenegro
Montenegro is one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations. In 2007, over a million tourists visited Montenegro, making some 7.3 million overnight stays (23% increase, compared to 2006). This accounted for some 480 million euros in tourism revenue in 2007 (39% increase, compared to previous year). In 2015, tourism realised over 1.7 million arrivals, with a further increase in 2016. In the same year, the coastal town of Kotor was named the best city to visit by Lonely Planet, whereas the country itself is continuously included in touristic top lists. With a total of 1.8 million visitors in 2016, the nation became the 36th (out of 47 countries) most popular country to travel to in Europe. Montenegro was further visited by over 2 million tourists in 2017. Sveti Stefan
Sveti Stefan ( Montenegrin and Serbian: Свети Стефан, ; lit. "Saint Stephen") is a town in Budva Municipality, on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro, approximately southeast of Budva. The town is known for the Aman Sveti Stefan resort, a 5-star franchise of the international group of Aman Resorts. Sveti Stefan consists of a small island now connected to the mainland by a narrow tombolo and the mainland part, where most of the residents live. Stari Bar
Stari Bar ( cyrl, Стари Бар, ; lit. "Old Bar") is a small town in Montenegro. It is located inland, three kiolmeters from the new city of Bar. According to the 2003 census, the town has a population of 1,864 people. Geography Stari Bar is located on a hilltop (Londša hill) overlooking the Adriatic Sea, at the foot of Mount Rumija. Ulcinj Old Town
The Ulcinj Castle ( cnr-Cyrl, Калjаја; ) or Ulcinj Old Town ( cnr-Cyrl, Стари град Улцињ / Stari grad Ulcinj; ) is an ancient castle and neighborhood in Ulcinj, Montenegro. Today it is mostly inhabited by Albanians, it was built by the Illyrians on a small peninsula at the right side of the Pristan Gulf, which is part of the Adriatic Sea. Ladies Beach, Ulcinj
Ladies Beach (; ) is a beach in Ulcinj, Montenegro. It is one of many beaches in Montenegro's South Coast with a special liking amongst the visitors to the region, as well as the local residents. Ladies Beach is known for its curious waters, a mixture of sulfur from an underwater spring, radium and sea salts. Pine resin from the sea trees at Ladies Beach, wafts in the air above the beach. The Blue Flag is a certification by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) that a beach, marina, or sustainable boating tourism operator meets its standards. The Blue Flag is a trademark owned by FEE, which is a Not-for-profit organization, not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation consisting of more than 100 organisations spreading 81 countries. Hotel Mediteran
The Hotel Mediteran Ulcinj, located in the coastal town of Ulcinj in Montenegro, is one of the first privatization deals completed by the new nation of Montenegro. The hotel was acquired by in July 2005 through the Commerce Court of Podgorica. The hotel is considered a vital property as part of national economic development. As part of its acquisition of the resort facility, Husein Becovic through his Becovic Management Group, agreed to invest court-stipulated funds, to renovate the property, in order to return it to its status as a popular destination resort on the Adriatic Coast. The Facility had been a resort and hospitality asset of Ulcinj-based hotel-tourist company, Ulcinjska Rivijera.
