Tory Scum
Tory scum is a phrase used to describe members of the United Kingdom's Conservative Party ("Tory" is a colloquial name for the Conservatives) by its opponents. Journalist Michael White called the phrase a regularly used "ancient British roar"; David Graeber, a "familiar slogan"; and Fintan O'Toole joked that in some parts of England the phrase was thought to be the actual name of the Conservative Party. In November 2023 the High Court in England ruled that it was "reasonable" for two protesters to have called Iain Duncan Smith “Tory scum” at the 2021 Tory Party Conference. The protestors had been acquitted the year before of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent, and the High Court found that "the use of Tory scum was to highlight the policies" of Mr Duncan Smith, contributing to the "reasonableness of the conduct". Sticker art (also known as slaps in a graffiti context) is a form of street art in which an image or message is publicly displayed using stickers. "Fuck the Tories" (stylised as "Fuck the T*ries") is a single by the Kunts, a band created by Kunt and the Gang, released in 2022. It is a satirical protest song attacking the Conservative Party, known colloquially as the Tories, who formed the government of the United Kingdom from 2010 to 2024. The song was released in an attempt to be the UK Singles Chart Christmas number one. The Kunts have had two previous attempts to get the Christmas No. 1, in 2020 and 2021 with the songs " Boris Johnson Is a Fucking Cunt" and " Boris Johnson Is Still a Fucking Cunt" respectively which both reached No. 5, and in 2022 issued the anti-monarchist single " Prince Andrew Is a Sweaty Nonce" during the week of the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II. The Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ), formerly known as Conservative Central Office (CCO), is the headquarters of the British Conservative Party, housing its central staff and committee members, including campaign coordinators and managers. Loyalists were refugee colonists from Thirteen Colonies, thirteen of the 20 British American colonies who remained loyal to the British Crown, British crown during the American Revolution, often referred to as Tories, Royalists, or King's Men at the time.
