Flaminio Torri) was an Italian Baroque painter of the Bolognese School, active during the Baroque period. He was a pupil of Guido Reni, Giacomo Cavedone, and Simone Cantarini. Giuseppe Antonio Torri
Giuseppe Antonio Torri (1655 – c. 1713) was an Italian architect of the early 18th century. He was born and died in Bologna, where he was active in a late-Baroque style. His surname is also spelled Tórri. He initially trained with his father, Giovanni Battista. On 30 March 1697 he was appointed architect to the Senate of Bologna. He worked on the designs used to reconstruct the Collegio Germanico-Ungarico (1700), now a seminary. He helped design the building's interior courtyard. In 1703, he designed the present building for the parish church of San Tommaso dal Mercate, which was completed by Giovanni Antonio Taruffi. He is said to have invented machinery (''trafila'', 1710) for the mint at Bologna; and helped with the building of the astronomical observatory at the University of Bologna. Julio Torri
Julio Torri Maynes (June 27, 1889 in Saltillo, Coahuila – May 11, 1970 in Mexico City) was a Mexican writer and teacher who formed part of the Ateneo de la Juventud (1909–1914). He wrote mainly in the essay form, although his limited production included short stories and scholarly works as well. Considered one of the best prose stylists of Latin America, he was admitted to the Academia Mexicana de la Lengua in 1952. His parents were Julio S. Torri and Sofía Maynes de Torri. Pietro Torri ( – 6 July 1737) was an Italian Baroque composer. Life Torri was born in Peschiera del Garda., Neue Hofkapelle München, Christoph Hammer From 1684 to 1688, he served as the organist and choirmaster of the Margrave of Bayreuth, and later entered into the service of the Elector of Bavaria Maximilian II Emanuel. In 1692 he followed the prince with some gentlemen of the court orchestra to the Spanish Netherlands and later settled with them in Brussels where Torri married the daughter of the ballet master François Rodier. Over the following years he lived in Mons, Namur, Lille, Compiègne, and Valenciennes; where his compositions were performed. In 1715 he returned to Munich, where he occasionally composed cantatas; and an opera annually. In 1726 Maximilian died, and his son Charles Albert succeeded him to the throne of Bavaria.
