''Torrente 2: Mission in Marbella'' () is a 2001 Spanish black comedy action film. It is a sequel to ''Torrente, the Dumb Arm of the Law'', and, like the first installment, it was written and directed by Santiago Segura, who takes the leading role of José Luis Torrente. It surpassed its predecessor as the highest-grossing Spanish film of all time. Plot Torrente has moved to Marbella, where, after being wiped out of the money he had gained, he has returned to private investigation. But in one of his cases he gets involved in the middle of a villain's missile plot to destroy the city and his own uncle's blackmail operation... and he knows nothing. Santiago Segura
Santiago Segura Silva (born 17 July 1965) is a Spanish filmmaker and actor. He also worked to a lesser extent as a television presenter, voice actor and comic book writer, as well as being a collector of original comic books. At 12, he began making films with a Super-8 camera, and, after a recommendation from Fernando Trueba, began to make films in 35 mm, funded by his appearances in TV game shows. He earned early recognition for his performance as a metalhead in 1995 film ''The Day of the Beast'' (billed as a "satanic comedy"), which won him the Goya Award for Best New Actor. Carlos Moyá Llompart (; born 27 August 1976) is a Spanish former professional tennis player and coach. He was ranked as the world No. 1 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). María Jesús Lampreave Pérez (11 December 1930 – 4 April 2016), known professionally as Chus Lampreave, was a Spanish character actress who starred in more than 70 films.
