Tor Saglie
Tor Saglie (born 13 September 1949) is a Norwegian civil servant. He was educated at the University of Oslo, graduating in 1976 with a cand.polit. degree in political science. He was the director (head of administration) of the University of Oslo from 1991 to 2003 and permanent under-secretary of state (''departementsråd'') in the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development from 2003 to 2006. In 2006, he was appointed the first Labour and Welfare Director, i.e. the head of the Labour and Welfare Service and the Labour and Welfare Administration. He left in the summer of 2011. In April 2012 he was appointed as permanent under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Justice and the Police. He is married to former cabinet minister Tove Strand Tove Astri Strand (born 29 September 1946) is a Norwegian director and former politician for the Labour Party. The Labour and Welfare Director (Norwegian: ''Arbeids- og velferdsdirektør'') is an office (''embete'') in Norway, created in 2006. The Labour and Welfare Director is the head of the Labour and Welfare Service (including the Labour and Welfare Directorate) as well as the Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV), which comprises both the state Labour and Welfare Service and the municipal labour and welfare offices. The Labour and Welfare Director is appointed by the King-in-Council, effectively by the government. The Director is responsible for one third of the state budget of Norway and 19,000 employees (including 14,000 state employees). Tove Astri Strand (born 29 September 1946) is a Norwegian director and former politician for the Labour Party. She was active in politics between 1963 and 1992, including two periods as a government minister. She headed the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation from 1997 to 2005, and since 2005 she is the director of Ullevål University Hospital. Joakim Lystad
Joakim Theodor Haagaas Lystad (born 17 April 1953) is a Norwegian civil servant. He served as the first Director-General of the Norwegian Food Safety Authority from 2003 to 2010, building the organization. From 2010 to 2015, he was the Labour and Welfare Director of Norway, i.e. the head of the Labour and Welfare Service and the Labour and Welfare Administration and responsible for a third of the state budget of Norway. Morten Ruud
Morten Ruud (born 25 February 1950) is a Norwegian civil servant. Ruud graduated as cand.jur. in 1974 from the University of Oslo, and took the Norwegian National Defence College in 1985. From 1976, he has spent most of his career in the Ministry of Justice and the Police, except for the years 1977 to 1978, when he was a deputy judge, and the years 1998 to 2001 when he was the Governor of Svalbard.
