Tomok
Shah Indrawan bin Ismail (born 17 May 1984), known as Tomok, is a Malaysian singer and the winner of the third season of '' One in a Million'' (OIAM), a reality TV singing competition. He became the first male contestant and the first recording artist to do so in the history of the competition. He is also the lead vocalist of a Malaysian band called New Boyz. Early life Tomok was born in Negeri Sembilan on 17 May 1984 and was raised in Kuala Lumpur. He is the fourth child of six. His older sister, Ismaliza Ismail (Isma) is also a singer and participated in Akademi Fantasia (season 7). He started singing at the age of 8 and was inspired by his favourite group, Exist, after he went to see their concert in 1992. Tomok also named Tan P. Ramlee as his idol. His nickname "Tomok" was given to him by his childhood friends as he was known to be the chubby kid in the neighbourhood. One In A Million (Malaysian TV Series)
''One in a Million'' (often abbreviated ''OIAM'') is a Malaysian reality-competition show. It is the first reality singing competition to offer a RM 1 million prize to the winner. The show began airing on 8TV, a terrestrial television station in Malaysia, on 26 May 2006. ''One in a Million'' seeks to discover the best young singer in the country through several auditions held nationwide. The objective of awarding a large amount of prize money is to provide the winner with quality production and marketing resources. In the later stages of the competition the progress of the contestants is determined by public voting by phone or text messaging. This is also the first reality singing competition that allows viewers to vote in as well as vote out the contestants. Negeri Sembilan (, Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Nogoghi Sombilan'', ''Nismilan'') is a state in Malaysia which lies on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Syafinaz Selamat
Datuk Syafinaz Selamat; ( Jawi: صافيناز بنت سلامت; born 11 January 1973), is a Malaysian singer who sings in Malay, English, Italian, Spanish, and German. TV9 (spelled as ''tivi sembilan'') is a Malaysian free-to-air television network launched on 22 April 2006 as a subsidiary of Media Prima Berhad. It airs programming that tends mostly towards the Malay demographic. Astro Ria is a 24-hour Southeast Asia Bahasa Malaysia television channel exclusive to the Astro satellite television provider. It was one of the first 22 channels to be launched on Astro in 1996.
