Thomas Phillips
Thomas Phillips (18 October 1770 – 20 April 1845) was a leading English portrait and subject painter. He painted many of the notable men of the day including scientists, artists, writers, poets and explorers. Life and work Phillips was born at Dudley, then in Worcestershire. Having learnt glass-painting in Birmingham under Francis Eginton, he visited London in 1790 with an introduction to Benjamin West, who found him employment on the painted-glass windows of St George's Chapel at Windsor. In 1791 he became a student at the Royal Academy, where, in 1792 he exhibited a view of Windsor Castle, followed in the next two years by the ''Death of Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury, at the Battle of Castillon'', ''Ruth and Naomi'', ''Elijah restoring the Widow's Son'', ''Cupid disarmed by Euphrosyne'', and other pictures. Thomas Hannifan (born May 19, 1989) is an American professional wrestling commentator and sports broadcaster. He is signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), alongside Matthew Rehwoldt. Thomas Gerard Phillips (April 5, 1889 – April 12, 1929) was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played for four seasons. He played for the St. Louis Browns in 1915, the Cleveland Indians in 1919, and the Washington Senators from 1921 to 1922. In 1922, Tom Phillips played baseball in the American Association for the Minneapolis Millers. Manager Joe Cantillon led the Millers to a record of 92-75 to earn Second Place. Phillips's stats for 1922 are: 21 Games Played; 143 Innings Pitched; 9 Games Won; 7 Games Lost; and his Earned Run Average was 4.47 In 1923, again with Manager Joe Cantillon, the Millers's record was 74-92 to earn Sixth Place. Tommy Phillips
Thomas Neil Phillips (May 22, 1883 – November 30, 1923) was a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger. Like other players of his era, Phillips played for several different teams and leagues. Most notable for his time with the Kenora Thistles, Phillips also played with the Montreal Hockey Club, the Ottawa Hockey Club, the Toronto Marlboros and the Vancouver Millionaires. Over the course of his career Phillips participated in six challenges for the Stanley Cup, the championship trophy of hockey, winning twice: with the Montreal Hockey Club in 1903 and with the Kenora Thistles, which he captained, in January 1907. Following his playing career, Phillips worked in the lumber industry until his death in 1923.
