''Told You So'' is the second album by American R&B singer Sparkle. It was released on October 24, 2000, by Motown Records. ''Told You So'' peaked at number 121 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number 31 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album's lead single, "It's a Fact", reached number 62 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. Production Coming off her successful debut for Interscope, Sparkle began to have creative differences with her former mentor and the album's producer, R. Kelly. The conflict resulted in Sparkle eventually being released from her contract and signing with Motown. ''Told You So'' was produced by Steve "Stone" Huff. Stephanie Edwards (born May 13, 1968), better known by her stage name Sparkle, is an American R&B singer. She began her career in 1998 as a protégé of fellow Chicago native R. Kelly. Sparkle is best known for her 1998 R&B debut hit single " Be Careful". Career Sparkle first started singing in her family's gospel music group. Sparkle met singer R. Kelly in 1989. Sparkle was the first and only successful artist to release an album on Kelly's Rockland label. Sparkle's début album, the self-titled '' Sparkle'', was released on May 19, 1998. The album debuted at No. 3 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 2 on the R&B charts and was certified gold soon after its release. ''Sparkle'' is the 1998 self–titled debut album by American singer Sparkle. It was released on May 19, 1998, through Interscope Records and was entirely produced by her former mentor R. Kelly.
