Tohoku Derby
Tohoku derby (東北ダービー) refers to matches played between professional association football, football clubs of Tohoku region, Japan. This area consists of six Prefectures of Japan, prefectures and such clubs include Vanraure Hachinohe, Iwate Grulla Morioka, Vegalta Sendai, Blaublitz Akita, Montedio Yamagata, Fukushima United FC, and Iwaki FC. Historically, the most significant are games which were played between Vegalta and Montedio (:ja:みちのくダービー, Michinoku derby), the two most successful of Tohoku's football clubs. The Blaublitz vs Montedio derby is called Ōu Honsen and played in the former Dewa Province. Nambu Domain
300px, Ruins of Morioka Castle was a '' tozama'' feudal domain of Edo period Japan. It was ruled throughout its history by the Nanbu clan. It was called during the early part of its history. It was located in northern Mutsu Province, Honshū, covering the eastern half of what is now Aomori Prefecture and the northern two-thirds of what is now Iwate Prefecture and the Kazuno District of what is now Akita Prefecture. Soyu Stadium
Soyu Stadium, formerly a.k.a. , is an athletic stadium in Akita, Akita, Japan. Located approximately 3 kilometers from the city center, the Akita Yabase Stadium is a multi-use facility opened in September 1941. It has been renovated several times, including a complete rebuilding in 1981, track repairs in 1985, and modifications in 1995 to accommodate the requirements for J.League soccer. 2024 J2 League
The 2024 J2 League, also known as the for sponsorship reasons, was the 26th season of the J2 League, the second-tier Japanese professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1999. It was the tenth season of the league since its rebrand from J.League Division 2. Overview For the first time since 2011, the number of the clubs in the league decreased from 22 to 20. This season, there were three automatic relegation spots to the J3 League (one more than the 2023 season) and two clubs gained automatic promotion to the J1 League.
