''To Plant a Seed'' is the debut studio album by American metalcore band We Came as Romans. It was released by Equal Vision Records on November 3, 2009, and was produced by Joey Sturgis. The album's artwork was created by Paul Romano, aligning with We Came as Romans' positive message. Guitarist Joshua Moore explained that the lyrical themes on ''To Plant a Seed'' are focused on spreading this message. A deluxe edition of the album was released on January 18, 2011, which includes one bonus track and a DVD titled ''To Plant a DVD''. We Came as Romans (sometimes abbreviated as WCAR) is an American metalcore band from Troy, Michigan. Formed in 2005, the band has gone through one name change and multiple line-up changes, and signed to SharpTone Records in 2016 after having been on roster of Equal Vision Records since 2009. Tyler Smith (musician)
Tyler Smith (born August 9, 1986), also known by his nickname Telle, is an American musician and songwriter. He is currently the lead vocalist of Arizona metalcore band The Word Alive and has played in several bands, such as Greeley Estates and In Fear and Faith. He is known for his tenor singing voice, wide vocal range and ability to comprehensively alternate between melodic and screamed vocals. Musical career Smith joined In Fear and Faith as one of their two lead vocalists in May 2007 to replace founding vocalist Jarred DeArmas. Dave Stephens (born June 30, 1988) is an American singer who is a founding member and actively the lead vocalist and frontman for the metalcore band We Came as Romans. Music career In the summer 2005, while attending high school, Stephens, along with classmates Sean Zelda, Jonny Nabors, Mark Myatt, and Joshua Moore formed a band called ''This Emergency''. For the first few years, Stephens was the guitarist, keyboardist, and backing vocals. The band performed various shows throughout the Detroit metro area.
