Fuzhou
Fuzhou (; , Fuzhounese: Hokchew, ''Hók-ciŭ''), Postal Map Romanization, alternately romanized as Foochow, is the capital and one of the largest prefecture-level city, cities in Fujian province, China. Along with the many counties of Ningde, those of Fuzhou are considered to constitute the Mindong (lit. Eastern Fujian) linguistic and cultural area. Fuzhou lies on the north (left) bank of the estuary of Fujian's largest river, the Min River (Fujian), Min River. All along its northern border lies Ningde, and Ningde's Gutian County lies upriver. Its population was 7,115,370 inhabitants as of the 2010 census, of whom 4,408,076 inhabitants are urban representing around 61.95%, while rural population is at 2,707,294 representing around 38.05%. Second Sino-Japanese War
The Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945) or War of Resistance (Chinese term) was a military conflict that was primarily waged between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan. The war made up the Chinese theater of the wider Pacific Theater of the Second World War. The beginning of the war is conventionally dated to the Marco Polo Bridge Incident on 7 July 1937, when a dispute between Japanese and Chinese troops in Peking escalated into a full-scale invasion. Fuzhou Changle International Airport
Fuzhou Changle International Airport is an international airport serving Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province, China. The airport was inaugurated on 23 June 1997, after being approved to start constructing in 1992. The current handling capacity is approximately 6.5 million people annually. The airport is located near the shore of the Taiwan Strait in Zhanggang Subdistrict, Changle, about east of central Fuzhou. The airport is also a major hub for the namesake Fuzhou Airlines and XiamenAir. In 2017, Fuzhou Airport handled 12,469,235 passengers and was 29th busiest in China by total passenger traffic. Flower Lane Church, also Huaxiang Christian Church (Chinese: ; Pinyin: ''Huāxiàng Jīdū Jiàotáng''; Foochow Romanized: ''Huă-háe̤ng Gĭ-dók Gáu-dòng'') is a Christian church in Fuzhou, China. Location The church is located at Flower Lane () No. 7, East Street Crossroads (, Dongjiekou), the most prosperous downtown area of Gulou District, Fuzhou. It is the first Methodist church built within the walled city of Fuzhou. Saint Dominic's Cathedral, Fuzhou
St. Dominic's Cathedral ( zh, 福州圣多明我主教座堂), locally known as the ''Fanchuanpu Tianzhutang'' (), is located by the Min River, Fuzhou, Fujian, China. It is the seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Fuzhou and the Ecclesiastical Province of Fuzhou.
