Tim Johnson (defensive Lineman)
Timothy Johnson (born January 29, 1965) is an American pastor and former former professional football player. He played as a defensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL). After his football career, he became the senior pastor at World Outreach Center in Orlando, Florida. College career A standout defensive lineman at Penn State from 1983 to 1986, Johnson was named a third-team All-American as a junior. His senior year, he was a first-team selection, racking up 33 tackles and 5 sacks. He was a key member of the Nittany Lions' 1986 National Championship team. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts from Penn State in 1987. Professional career The 6-foot 3-inch, 260-pound Johnson was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round (#141 overall) of the 1987 NFL draft, where he played for three seasons. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. Fumble
A fumble in gridiron football occurs when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled), scoring, or going out of bounds. By rule, it is any act other than passing, kicking, punting, or successful handing that results in loss of ball possession by a player.
