Tigres de Álica F.C. is a football club that plays in the Liga Premier – Serie A. It is based in Tepic, Mexico. History The team was founded in July 2021, having been registered in the Liga TDP since its first professional season. In the 2023–24 season, the team managed to qualify for the promotion play-offs for the first time, after finishing in first position in the Group 15. After defeating the clubs Sultanes de Tamazunchale, Obson Dynamo, Aves Blancas and H2O Purépechas, Tigres de Alica achieved promotion to the Liga Premier de México on May 18, 2024. On June 28, 2024 the team achieved a place in Serie A due to an expansion of participating clubs in that branch of the Liga Premier. After that event, the team changed its stadium, starting to play in the Estadio Nicolás Álvarez Ortega, the largest sports venue in Tepic. Tepic
Tepic () is the capital and largest city of the western Mexico, Mexican Political divisions of Mexico, state of Nayarit, as well as the seat of the Tepic Municipality. The Serie A has 38 teams (5 Liga de Expansión MX Reserve Teams and 33 Serie A Teams) divided into three groups. For the 2024–25 season, it will be a return of a short tournament format (Apertura & Clausura) consisting of 11 group matches and 3 inter-group matches (14 total) played home & away and the liguilla. 2023–24 Liga TDP Season
The 2023–24 Liga TDP season is the fourth-tier football league of Mexico. The tournament began on 7 September 2023 and finished on 31 May 2024. Competition format The Tercera División (Third Division) is divided into 17 groups. Since the 2009–2010 season, the format of the tournament has been reorganized to a home and away format, which all teams will play in their respective group.
