Croatia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2003. The Croatian broadcaster Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT) organised an national final to select the first Croatian entry, being Dino Jelusić with the song "Ti si moja prva ljubav", which went on to win the 2003 contest. Dino Jelusić (born 4 June 1992), also known by his stage name Dino Jelusick, is a Croatian singer, musician, and songwriter. He was the winner of the inaugural edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in . He is the founder, principal songwriter, and lead singer of the hard rock/Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Animal Drive, which was formed in 2012 and disbanded in 2021. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2003 was the inaugural edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for young singers aged eight to fifteen. It was held on 15 November 2003, in Copenhagen, Denmark. With Camilla Ottesen and Remee as the presenters, the contest was won by the then eleven-year-old Dino Jelusić, who represented with his song " Ti si moja prva ljubav" (You are my first love) while second and third place went to and the respectively. Rajko Dujmić (7 August 1954 – 4 August 2020) was a Croatian songwriter, composer and music producer best known as a member of the pop group Novi fosili. He composed the winner entry of Eurovision Song Contest 1989, " Rock me", along with Stevo Cvikić. They also composed the two previous Yugoslav entries, " Ja sam za ples", sung by Novi fosili, and " Mangup", sung by Srebrna Krila.
