Ti-Tree, Northern Territory
Ti-Tree (formerly Tea Tree and Ti Tree) is a town and locality in the Northern Territory of Australia located on the Stuart Highway about south of the territory capital of Darwin and about 193 km north of the municipal seat in Alice Springs. At the , Ti-Tree had a population of 70. It is the closest town to Alice Springs. The area around Ti-Tree has a population of 995 people of whom 191 are non-Aboriginal. The population is distributed between the 11 cattle stations, 6 Aboriginal outstations including Utopia, Ti-Tree township, Barrow Creek community and the agricultural produce farms of Ti-Tree Farm, Central Australian Produce Farm and the Territory Grape Farm. The area is an emerging centre for grapes and melons due to its year-round sunshine and abundant underground water supply. Ti-Tree Airfield
__NOTOC__ Ti-Tree Airfield (ICAO:YTIT), also known as Ti Tree aeroplane landing area (ALA) is a landing strip in the Northern Territory of Australia located in the town of Ti-Tree. Description The airfield is located on the east side of the town and the Stuart Highway. Its single runway has a length of , a width of , a sealed surface and an approximate north-south orientation. The airfield is owned by the Northern Territory Government and operated by the local government authority, the Central Desert Region. Future developments In 2015, the draft EIS for a proposed mine at Mount Peake which is located about north-west of Ti-Tree included a proposal to upgrade the airfield to allow its use by aircraft such as the Fokker F100 or BAE146 to fly-in fly-out personnel involved in the mine's establishment and its subsequent operation. In computer science a T-tree is a type of binary tree data structure that is used by main-memory databases, such as Datablitz, eXtremeDB, MySQL Cluster, Oracle TimesTen and MobileLite. A T-tree is a balanced index tree data structure optimized for cases where both the index and the actual data are fully kept in memory, just as a B-tree is an index structure optimized for storage on block oriented secondary storage devices like hard disks. T-trees seek to gain the performance benefits of in-memory tree structures such as AVL trees while avoiding the large storage space overhead which is common to them. T-trees do not keep copies of the indexed data fields within the index tree nodes themselves. Instead, they take advantage of the fact that the actual data is always in main memory together with the index so that they just contain pointers to the actual data fields.
