''Thug by Nature'' is the debut solo studio album by American rapper Layzie Bone, released under his L-Burna alias. It was released on March 20, 2001 through Ruthless Records with distribution via Epic Records. Hip hop production, Production was handled by L.T. Hutton, Darren Vegas, Michael Seifert (producer), Michael Seifert, BB, Buddy Banks, Damon Elliott, Red Spyda, Dre' Ghost, Mauly T., Step and Thin C., with Tomica Wright and Layzie Bone serving as executive producers. It features guest appearances from Aaron Hall (singer), Aaron Hall, Baby S, Big Chan, Dekumpozed, Flesh-n-Bone, WC (rapper), WC, Geraldine Sigler and Bizzy Bone and Emmortal Thugs on the bonus disc. Layzie Bone
Steven Howse (born September 23, 1974), known professionally as Layzie Bone, is an American rapper known primarily for being a member of the group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. He has also gone by the names L-Burna, Lil Lay, and The #1 Assassin. He is the younger brother of fellow group member Flesh-N-Bone and cousin of group member Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Wish Bone. Layzie is also a member of the rap group Bone Brothers and CEO of the record label Harmony Howse Entertainment. Music career The group formed the band B.O.N.E. William LaShawn Calhoun Jr. (born February 3, 1970), known professionally as WC (pronounced "dub-c"), is an American rapper and actor. He originally was a rapper of the group Low Profile and later formed his group WC and the Maad Circle, who first succeeded with the single "Ain't A Damn Thang Changed". He later started a solo career and has released four solo albums. He is also well known for being a member of the rap supergroup Westside Connection with fellow West Coast rappers Ice Cube and Mack 10. The Dogs were a 1990s hip hop group consisting of Disco Rick, Keith Bell, Labrant Dennis, and Fergus "Cracked Up" Smith, best known for "Crack Rock," their hit single with the chant "Yo' Mama's on Crack Rock!" The group released three studio albums '' The Dogs'' in 1990, ''Beware of the Dogs'' in 1991 and '' K-9 Bass'' in 1992. The group officially disbanded in 1996 when Labrant Dennis was arrested for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Timwanika Lumpkins, and her friend Marlin Barnes, a linebacker for the University of Miami football team. Dennis was convicted of the double-murders in 1998, and sentenced to death in 1999. His death sentence was reversed by the Florida Supreme Court in 2020. Raphael Saadiq (; born Charles Ray Wiggins; May 14, 1966) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. Do or Die is an American rap trio originally from the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago, consisting of N.A.R.D., Belo Zero, and AK-47. The group experienced mainstream success with the platinum single " Po Pimp", which peaked at #22 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100.
