Throne Of Chaos
Throne of Chaos (TOC) were a heavy metal band from Espoo, Finland, active from 1996 to 2005. Their early sound, as recorded on their debut album ''Menace and Prayer'', has been described as melodic death metal, having musical characteristics reminiscent of fellow Finns Children of Bodom. For their second album, ''Pervertigo'', the band migrated to a sound more heavily influenced by thrash and progressive metal. For their final album, the progressive-leaning ''Loss Angeles'', released on InsideOut Music, the band shortened their name from Throne of Chaos to TOC. Taneli Kiljunen originally performed all vocals before damaging his throat and being unable to sing for an extended period. Melodic Death Metal
Melodic death metal (also referred to as melodeath) is a subgenre of death metal that employs highly melodic guitar riffs, often borrowing from traditional heavy metal (including New Wave of British Heavy Metal). The genre features the heaviness of death metal but with highly melodic or harmonized guitar riffs and solos, and often features high-pitched shrieked vocals (differing from traditional death metal) alongside the low-pitched growls commonly featured in traditional death metal. Inside Out Music is a German progressive rock record label originally based in Kleve, North Rhine-Westphalia, and dedicated to the publication of progressive rock, progressive metal and related styles. Children Of Bodom
Children of Bodom was a Finnish melodic death metal band from Espoo. Formed in 1993 as Inearthed, the final line-up of the group upon their split in 2019 consisted of frontman Alexi Laiho, drummer Jaska Raatikainen, bassist Henkka Seppälä, keyboardist Janne Wirman and guitarist Daniel Freyberg. The band released ten studio albums, three live albums, two EPs, two compilation albums and one DVD. The band's third studio album, '' Follow the Reaper'', was their first album to receive a gold certification in Finland, and subsequent studio albums acquired the same status. Warmen
Warmen is a Finnish heavy metal band assembled by keyboardist Janne "Warman" Wirman. Wirman had played with Children of Bodom since 1997, and in 2000 created the neoclassical/melodic metal project Warmen focused on instrumental work with only occasional guest singers on a few selected songs. In 2023, the band added full-time singer Petri Lindroos and moved towards a melodic death metal style similar to Children of Bodom. Dream Evil is a Swedish heavy metal band, assembled by producer Fredrik Nordström in 1999. They have released seven studio albums. History Producer Fredrik Nordström had the ambition of creating a power metal band of his own for a long time, but had difficulty finding anyone with musical ideals similar to his own. However, while on holiday in the Greek islands during the year of 1999, Nordström met the young guitarist Gus G (from Firewind).
