Thomas Townsend (Iowa Politician)
Thomas Townsend (born c. 1967) is an American politician. Prior to pursuing political office, Townsend served in the United States Navy for six years, then apprenticed as an electrician for five years before receiving his license in 1997. He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and president of the Dubuque Federation of Labor, affiliated with the AFL–CIO. Mary Pamela Jochum ( Hingtgen; born September 26, 1954) is an American politician serving as the Iowa State Senator from the Iowa Senate District 36, 36th District and former President of the Iowa Senate. A Iowa Democratic Party, Democrat, she was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 1993 to 2009, when she became a member of the Iowa Senate.
