Thomas Bevan (c.1796 – 31 January 1819) was, with fellow Welshman David Jones, the first Christian missionaries to Madagascar, sent by the London Missionary Society.Gerald H. He came from a religious home, and at the age of 8, he was already a reader of the Bible. He experienced conversion near Nantgwynfynydd farm and on 19 November 1810, became a church member at Neuaddlwyd. There, the minister Thomas Phillips (1772–1842) encouraged him to begin preaching. He then went to Phillips's school at Pen-y-banc, and later to colleges at Newtown and, with Jones, at Gosport. It was decided that he should go to Madagascar. Thomas Bevan (priest)
Thomas Bevan (22 March 1800 – 28 December 1863) was Archdeacon of St David's from 1833 until his death. Bevan was born at Gwenddwr and was educated at Jesus College, Oxford. Thomas Bevan (cricketer)
Thomas Bevan (14 February 1900 – 12 June 1942) was an English first-class cricketer and British Army officer. Bevan was commissioned into the Coldstream Guards in December 1919 after graduating from Sandhurst. He would serve with the Coldstream Guards until his death during the Second World War, at which he commanded the 3rd Battalion, Coldstream Guards. He also played first-class cricket for the British Army cricket team. He was the grandson of Thomas Bevan (politician). Life and military career Bevan was born at Crayford in February 1900 to Wilfred Bevan and his wife, Ethel. He was educated at Eton College, before attending the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Tom Bevan (1868 – 9 November 1937), who also wrote under the pseudonym Walter Bamfylde, was a British writer of boys' adventure stories. Originally a schoolteacher, he also wrote non-fiction books for children. Life Born in Risca, Monmouthshire, Bevan's family moved to Gloucester and he was educated at Sir Thomas Rich's School, Gloucester, and St Paul's College, Cheltenham, a teacher training college that awarded Bristol University qualifications. Thomas C. Bevan is an American writer and media executive who is co-founder and publisher of RealClearPolitics. Bevan attended Princeton University, playing at defensive back for Princeton Tigers football and graduating with a bachelor's degree in history in 1991.
