Synopsis Since losing her family in an accident, Hinako has had a vague wish to die, though she feels that she cannot go through with it herself. One day, she meets a mermaid named Shiori who tells Hinako that her flesh and blood are especially delicious to yōkai. Wanting to eat Hinako herself, Shiori promises to protect her from other yōkai until she is at her most delicious, at which point Shiori will eat her.
