''There's a Whole New World Out There'' is an album by Francis Dunnery, released in 2009. It is mostly made up of cover versions, and re-recordings of songs from throughout Francis' career. Consisting of two discs, it was released on Dunnery's own record label Aquarian Nation. Francis Dunnery
Francis Dunnery (born 25 December 1962) is an English musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and record label owner. Dunnery was the lead singer and guitarist for British prog-pop band It Bites between 1982 and 1990. Since 1990 he has pursued a solo career, and has owned and run his own record label, Aquarian Nation, since 2001. He has collaborated with artists including Robert Plant, Ian Brown, Lauryn Hill, Santana and Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe and as a producer and/or collaborator with David Sancious, Chris Difford (of ''Squeeze''), James Sonefeld ( Hootie and the Blowfish), Erin Moran, Steven Harris (ex- The Cult, Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction), and Ashley Reaks (Younger Younger 28s). Dunnery was one of the candidates invited to audition as a lead singer and frontman for Genesis following Phil Collins' departure in 1996. The Gulley Flats Boys
The Gulley Flats Boys is a double-disc album from British musician Francis Dunnery, released in 2005. It is very stripped down, revolving around Dunnery's acoustic guitar playing and piano, courtesy of David Sancious David Sancious (born November 30, 1953) is an American musician. He was an early member of Bruce Springsteen's backing group, the E Street Band, and contributed to the first three Springsteen albums, and again on ''Human Touch'' (1992), '' Trac ..., and featuring minimal percussion. It features two re-recordings of older songs in Good Life and Heartache Reborn - the latter being almost entirely re-worked. Lyrically, the album deals with the reaching of "the middle of life", and Francis has stated that it deals with a mid-life crisis of sorts. The title of the album is a reference to the council estate in Cumbria, North-west England where Francis grew up alongside the friends pictured on the album cover. Genesis (band)
Genesis are an English rock band formed at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, in 1967. The band's most commercially successful line-up consisted of keyboardist Tony Banks, bassist/guitarist Mike Rutherford and drummer/singer Phil Collins. The 1970s line-up, featuring singer Peter Gabriel and guitarist Steve Hackett, was among the pioneers of progressive rock. The group were formed by five Charterhouse pupils, including Banks, Rutherford, Gabriel, and Anthony Phillips, and named by former Charterhouse pupil Jonathan King, who arranged for them to record several singles and their debut album '' From Genesis to Revelation'' in 1968. After splitting from King, the band began touring, signed with Charisma Records and became a progressive rock band on '' Trespass'' (1970).
