''The X's'' is an American animated television series created by Carlos Ramos for Nickelodeon. The series centers on a nuclear family of four highly trained spies who must conceal their identity from the outside world but normally having trouble in doing so. The show consists of a single 20-episode (38 segments) season, running from November 25, 2005, to November 25, 2006. Although it was compared to ''The Incredibles'' and '' Alias'', Ramos has stated that the show takes inspiration from the James Bond film series, the 1960s TV series ''Get Smart,'' and the 1960s TV series ''The Avengers''. John Kricfalusi
Michael John Kricfalusi ( ; born September 9, 1955), known professionally as John K., is a Canadian illustrator, blogger, and former animator and voice actor. He is the creator of the animated television series ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'', which was highly influential on televised animation during the 1990s. From 1989 to 1992, he was heavily involved with the first two seasons of the show in virtually every aspect of its production, including providing the voice of Ren Höek and other characters. In 2009, he won the Inkpot Award. Born in Quebec, Kricfalusi spent his early childhood in Germany and Belgium before returning to Canada at age seven. Spümcø, Inc. ( ; stylized as SPÜMCØ) was an American animation studio that was active from 1989 to 2005 and based in Los Angeles, California. The studio was best known for working on the first two seasons of ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'' for Nickelodeon and for various commercials. Jim Smith (animator)
James Carl Smith (né Jobb; October 8, 1954 – May 2, 2025) was an American animator and musician. He worked on '' Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures'' with his long-time working partner John Kricfalusi. Smith later briefly worked on ''Tiny Toon Adventures'', and then along with Kricfalusi, Bob Camp and Lynne Naylor he founded Spümcø, where he co-developed ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'' (from which he departed in 1992 alongside Kricfalusi) in 1991 and ''The Ripping Friends'' in 2001. He was notable for remaining faithful to Kricfalusi, having refused to join Games Animation (though he worked on ''The X's'' after its rebranding to Nickelodeon Animation Studio), working with Kricfalusi on his projects amid other work until '' Cans Without Labels'' (2017).
