Léonide Moguy
Léonide Moguy (14 July 1899 – 21 April 1976) was a Ukrainian, French and Italian film director, screenwriter and film editor. Moguy was born Leonid Mohylevskyi () in Odessa, Odesa, Russian Empire in 1899 in a Jewish family. He lived in Soviet Ukraine until 1929, in the United States in the 1940s, and in Italy from 1949 until his death. He was active in film between 1927 and 1961. His work has influenced American director Quentin Tarantino, who discovered him while writing the script for ''Inglourious Basterds'', and named a character after him in ''Django Unchained''. Career Mohylevskyi was born in Odessa, Odesa in a family of a merchandise worker. During World War I, he was a soldier of the 51st Lithuanian infantry regiment of the Imperial Russian Army in Simferopol. After the war, he was a medical student and worked part-time at the film studio of Dmytro Kharytonov who came from Moscow to Odesa. Anne Vernon (born Édith Antoinette Alexandrine Vignaud; 9 January 1924) is a French retired film and television actress who appeared in 40 films between 1948 and 1970, including three films that were entered into the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival. She appeared in films of multiple countries, including French, British, Italian, and American. As of 2025, she is believed to be among the last surviving leading ladies of the 1940s cinema. Career Anne Vernon made her film debut in the 1948 French-Belgian film '' The Murdered Model'', playing the supporting role of Irène. ''Crux'' is an American comic book published by CrossGen Entertainment from May 2001 to February 2004. It was cancelled due to bankruptcy in 2004. ''Crux'' was one of the later titles that came first in a sort of second wave of Crossgen titles which included '' Sojourn'' and '' Brath''. It detailed the exploits of six Atlanteans who were put into stasis and are awoken 100,000 years later. Plot synopsis The main story arc centered on Capricia and the other Atlanteans efforts to revive the remaining Atlanteans still in stasis and to find out what happened to the human race, and perhaps to a latter extent how to go through 'transition' themselves.
